The business of selling you a car has come a long way.
In 1959, Denny Motors didn't much look like Applewood Chevrolet Cadillac. Back then it was a combination of a small GM dealership and a BA gas station located on Tannery Street in Streetsville. And it wasn't until owners Harold Shipp, Bert Grant and John A McDonald saw an opportunity to combine their businesses that they renamed their small dealership Applewood Motors Ltd. But as with any great small businesses, it too, grew.
In 1979, they packed up their growing business and moved it to its current location in Misissauga's Erin Mills Auto Center. And in 2006, became part of one of Canada's largest dealer groups, the Humberview Group. With offices in Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton, the Humberview Group has become a leader in automotive sales/service and leasing.
A lot has changed since that small GM dealership became Applewood Chevrolet Cadillac. But one thing that hasn't changed since 1959, is the approach to selling you a vehicle.
